Get ready to skank, pogo, mosh, jig, polka and maybe even waltz – The sound of Counting Coins refuses to stay still, switching from ska-punk to gypsy to hip-hop and back again several times in the same song.
Since forming in 2009, Counting Coins have steadily built up a reputation for their raucously energetic live shows, stealing the spotlight and getting the crowds bouncing.
“Counting Coins”, the self-titled debut album, was released in December 2015, preceded by two singles (“Don’t Look Down” and “All That I Need”) that attracted radio play and positive reviews from across the UK, Europe and the USA. The album followed the success of 2013’s E.P “Reach for the Sky”, which launched the Coins boys on a constant rampage across the UK and Europe smashing countless venues and festival stages including Boomtown, Rebellion, Y-Not, Jera On Air (NL) and Tramlines, and earned them support slots and gig swaps with Random Hand, Inner Terrestrials, New Town Kings, The Skints, Sonic Boom 6, Voodoo Glow Skulls, The Talks, Jaya the Cat, King Prawn), The King Blues, The JB Conspiracy, Faintest Idea, Neville Staple (ex The Specials), The Stiff Joints and many more from the UK and international ska punk scene.
